What to look for

Choose a saw or drill sized to your typical stock: a metal bandsaw gives clean, square, low-waste cuts on tube and section, while a circular cutoff saw is faster for repetitive solid bar. Match the machine's capacity and phase to your work and supply, and keep spare blades matched to the material — the right tooth pitch is the difference between a clean cut and a wrecked blade.
