What to look for

Match the regulator to the gas and cylinder: the inlet connection and pressure differ between argon/CO2 mixes, pure argon, oxygen and fuel gases, so they aren't interchangeable. Use a flow-metered regulator for MIG/TIG shielding (set in litres/min, typically 8-15 l/min), and a pressure regulator for oxy-fuel cutting and heating.
